Happy New Year!
My friends Carolyn and Richard gave me this amazing ornament of Thomas Jefferson for Christmas. He’s already been everywhere with me. Here he’s drinking Jefferson’s Reserve next to his own biography and wishing you and yours a wonderful 2014.
If you’re in DC next Monday, do come see White Rabbit, Red Rabbit, a show I’m helping produce with Theater Alliance and No Rules Theatre Company that The Washington Post calls “one of the most fascinating shows in Washington.”
The play – by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour – is a cold reading, which means the actor has never seen the script and has no idea what to expect. Among other things, it delves into the power of the written word from the perspective of a censored artist.
The show will take place at Signature Theatre in Shirlington and stars Joshua Morgan. It starts at 8pm and lasts about 1 hour with an optional talkback after the show. Tickets are $15 in advance and pay-what-you-can at the door. Details:
