Joanna’s play around and around and around the static sun will be presented at Shotgun Readings, a series of staged readings of new works, as part of Sitting Shotgun‘s Fall 2018 season.
The inaugural Fall Shotgun Readings will showcase full-length works and will take place over three weekends in September, with two new works performing each weekend.
In around and around and around the static sun, Kimberly creates a fake man to save her business and, for better or worse, sparks a movement like the world has never seen. It’s a full-length dark satire that explores gender, historical memory, and the way people use the power of time to keep oppressive hierarchies in place.
All performances will take place at SQUARE1 (Park Ave, Brooklyn, NY, 11206) – Sitting Shotgun’s new home space.
Admission is free and all performances will be followed by a short talkback with members of the creative team.
